In ongoing banjo tradition here's my xmas album for the year.

It features 9 songs that you might have heard before or not and it comes a little later because I wasn't really going to do a xmas album this year but then since I was sick at home for the last week I decided to have a go at it.

Being ill I wasn't really able to sing but then it's not that I am that great of a singer anyway. (In 'Winter wonderland' you can really hear my voice breaking and dying but I thought that was quite funny to hear!)

This year's album is quite different from the previous ones... some of these songs are way less popular than the ones I've covered before and in general this one is a bit more 'crazy' but I think it goes quite well with the other two...

I had fun doing it. I hope you'll enjoy it!

As you may have heard the independent distributor PIAS was a casualty of the senseless riots that took place in London two nights ago. The warehouse completely burned to the ground, and with it, hundreds of thousands of CD's and records released on some amazing labels that we all love. You can find the list of all the labels distributed by PIAS HERE.

The business of these labels will be seriously affected by this so it would be great if you could help these labels out picking up a record from the many amazing ones they released that you've been meaning to buy in your local record store or even better simply going to the labels site and buying an album, a single or whatever even if you downloaded illegaly a phew days ago.

One of these labels, Memphis Industries, released my first album at the beginning of 2011.

Ok, so I've been busy with WALLS and still touring with them and having a great time and BANJO has been quite for such a loooooooong time but there's a lot of news re new single, new tour and oh my god finally my album coming in the next weeks. In the meantime...

WAY SLOW is a series of very limited tapes/cds sponsored by the lovely people at LEFSE RECORDS.

The point of the tape series is to have bands doing music they wouldn't usually put on an album or official releases so since I have a million songs lost in my hard drive i thought it would have been a good thing to do. The seven songs I choose are songs I've written through the last three years and are quite different from the stuff you will find on the album..

just back home after spending almost three weeks in new york city. i've been there making my first record at rare book room studio with nicolas vernhes. it was so great to work with nicolas and cool and very interesting to be in a real studio for the first time as bof. had an amazing time both recording and hanging around new york which is so amazing. some photos above. keep checking for details on the music and a release.
